Developed countries such as Europe and Japan have eaten natural casings for hundreds of years. European countries consume 17 meters of casings per capita per year, and Japan consumes 13 meters of casings per capita per year. At present, among the 7 billion people in the world, developed countries only account for 1 billion, and the population in developing countries still has a huge room for growth in the level of sausage consumption of these 1 billion people.

 

   According to the latest trade statistics of the Ministry of Finance of Japan, the import volume of natural sausage casings in Japan in 2017 increased by 14.3% compared with the previous year, reaching 10,280,719 pieces, or more than 940 million meters. Among them, the processing volume of Vienna sausage increased by 4.7% compared with the previous year, reaching 239,494 tons, showing an increasing trend for two consecutive years.

 

   According to the statistics of my country's sausage consumption by the National Bureau of Statistics, the market capacity of casings in my country was about 5.8 billion meters in 2014, and about 6.6 billion meters in 2015. It took 20 years for China to develop from almost no sausage consumption to the current per capita consumption of 4 meters of sausage casings, and it will reach the level of developed countries in the next 50 years. When China's 1.3 billion people start eating sausages, the casing industry will experience greater supply pressure. In the next 50 years, it is estimated that the consumption of sausage casings in the world will increase year by year, and there will be a market capacity of 100 billion meters per year.
